OVERVIEW
In Design by Use: The Everyday Metamorphosis of Things, Köln International School of Design (KISD) professor Uta Brandes argues that users of designed things often see through the form of objects to their potential for functions beyond the original designer's intent. Designers, inversely, conceive of use cases and then craft forms to facilitate them.

To explore this, for 100 days I found or engaged in misuse of objects and digital tools and sketched ways those things might be redesigned to facilitate the unplanned use case. Through this exercise, I gained deeper empathy for unconventional or rebellious users.
